To my much valued friends who joined my 2012 Facebook this is to let you know I’ve been enjoying a long sabbatical of R&R but I am now back to work!
To those who don’t yet know me, a little about myself.
Born and bred in the beautiful sub-tropical city of Brisbane Australia, it remains my much loved home town. Before taking to a writing career I was a run-off-her-feet professional pianist, teacher and coach. Imagine how marvellous it was to get the opportunity to work from home. Many years ago, a dear friend, a New Zealander handed me a pile of romance novels saying she thought I could do as well. (I used to write her long jam packed letters) I thanked her for the vote of confidence and set out to prove her right. And so, my long happy love affair with the genre began.
My first book The Time of the Jacaranda written in New Zealand in long hand at the kitchen table was released by the iconic publishing house of Mills &Boon in 1970. My aim then as now was to bring pleasure to the readership and promote my own unique country of Australia. To date I’ve written more than 130 books published in 114 countries in 34 languages. This past year I’m taking a fresh new path in the digital age by self publishing, an option open to all writers these days. So do please keep an eye out for further updates via my FACEBOOK &WEBSITE.
I leave you with a treasured published quote from HM&B: Margaret Way is one of the most popular writers of romantic fiction of all time.
